Keona Lau

Keona received her JD from the Henry N.R. Jackman Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto in 2025 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2026. She recently completed her articles at a full service firm in Toronto.

At the University of Toronto, Keona began her work in family law as a student caseworker in the Family Law Division at Downtown Legal Services (DLS), where she represented low-income clients in child and spousal support matters. At DLS, Keona honed her client-management and advocacy skills, as well as her abilities to conduct legal research and writing. She appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice at both 47 Sheppard Avenue and 311 Jarvis Street.

During her articles, Keona assisted the family law group on several files for high net-worth clients. Her work included drafting/editing domestic contracts, attending court appearances at the Family Courts, legal research and memo writing, and drafting of facta and motion materials.

Prior to entering law school, Keona received a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in 2021.

During her free time, Keona enjoys supporting local cafes and restaurants, (watching and performing in) musical theatre and spending time with her loved ones.
