Jessica-Taylor Leaman

Jessica was called to the Bar in 2026 and practices exclusively in family law. She is committed to helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions with practical advice, thoughtful advocacy, and a client-focused approach.

Jessica earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice before obtaining her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law in New York. During her final year of law school, she worked at the Pace Women’s Justice Center, where she assisted survivors of intimate partner violence. This experience reinforced her commitment to advocating for individuals and families during some of the most difficult periods of their lives.

After being certified by the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) in 2025, Jessica completed her articles at a prominent family law firm in Toronto. During her articling term, she gained experience across a broad range of family law matters, and was given the opportunity to co-author two published legal articles.

Outside of her practice, you will find Jessica staying active, exploring health and wellness, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
