Haya Sakakini exclusively practices family law and is dedicated to helping clients navigate various complex family law issues with practical advice and strong advocacy. She understands that no two families are alike, and her goal is to help clients move forward with clarity and confidence.

Before law school, Haya worked in international and human rights law. She discovered her passion for family law during a clinical placement at a family law clinic serving low-income women, where she saw firsthand the impact legal advocacy can have during difficult life transitions.

While in law school, Haya won the Allan Falconer Memorial Student Essay Prize, and her paper on psychological abuse claims in family law courts was published in the 2021 edition of the Canadian Journal of Family Law.

Since becoming a lawyer, Haya has practiced exclusively in family law. She has represented clients at every stage of the separation process, conducted a trial, prepared materials for matters before various levels of court, including the Court of Appeal, and assisted clients through mediation and arbitration.

Outside of work, Haya enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring Toronto’s noodle spots, and making her own body care products at home.
