Alexa Cohen

Alexa Cohen joined Niman Mamo LLP in April 2026. She has practiced exclusively in family law since her call to the bar in 2024. She began her legal career at a boutique firm in Toronto where she gained experience across a broad range of family law matters.

Alexa represents clients in a variety of family law matters, including parenting disputes, child and spousal support, and property division. She takes a practical and client-focused approach to her practice, working closely with clients to navigate what are often challenging and highly personal legal issues.
Alexa received her dual Canadian and American Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. During her time in law school, Alexa provided pro-bono legal services through Detroit Mercy School of Law’s Legal Clinic, assisting members of the community with a range of legal matters.

Before beginning her legal career, Alexa received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Western Ontario. When she’s not practicing law, Alexa can usually be found planning her next trip, going on long walks, keeping up with the latest reality television, or spending time with friends and family.
