Sara Omer

Sara joined Niman Mamo LLP after her call to the bar in 2022. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto before receiving her law degree from the University of Windsor.

During law school, Sara developed her advocacy skills while working as a caseworker at the Community Legal Aid Clinic and interning at a family law firm in Windsor. She also worked as a legal coach where she provided support to self-represented litigants (SRLs) navigating the procedural elements of their legal claims. Through these experiences, Sara gained an understanding of how to tailor support to clients through an access to justice lens.

Through her articles, Sara gained a great deal of experience litigating and negotiating at the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice. She takes a client-centered approach when advocating for clients in order to best serve them in high-conflict situations, both in and outside the courtroom.

In her free time, Sara enjoys reading, hiking, and excessively re-watching her favourite TV sitcoms. In addition to constructing family law arguments, Sara also enjoys arguing the merits of Ross and Rachel’s “break” from her favourite show, “Friends.”
