Rachel received her J.D. from Queen's University in 2018. During law school, Rachel worked as a caseworker at the Queen's Family Law Clinic. She completed a placement with Family and Children's Services in Kingston, Ontario. She also worked as a research assistant for a criminal law professor at Queen's.
Following her first year of law school, Rachel completed a summer internship in Washington, DC in the legal department at a non-profit organization. Rachel then summered and articled with Niman Gelgoot and Associates LLP.
Prior to attending law school, Rachel attended Columbia University and obtained her Masters of Science in Bioethics where she focused on reproductive rights and ethics. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2014 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a Certificate in Ethics.
Rachel spends her spare time baking and has taken several baking courses. Her friends and family have happily agreed to be her guinea pigs for experimenting with and testing new recipes. She is currently trying to perfect pies. In between baking projects, Rachel often does yoga and spends time at her family cottage.
